For this handicraft technique you need a motif straw silk of your choice, an object to be glued, preferably a napkin brush, silhouette scissors, as well as decoupage glue & varnish.
How exactly does the handicraft technique "Straw silk paper" work?
First of all, you should make sure that the object to be pasted is primed as light as possible in order to maintain the colour intensity of the fine Straw silk paper .
The next step is to select the section or motif of Straw silk paper that you want to apply and cut it out carefully. If the background color is adjusted, a tearing can be advantageous to let the contours of the Straw silk paper melt better with the background.
Next, place the motif in the desired position and apply the decoupage adhesive, always from the inside out (!), using a soft brush.
