Bracelets in the Macramé-technique are quickly and easily recreated. This requires only a little skill and endurance in knotting. Small beads provide for the individual look. Decorated with alphabet beads, the Macramé-bracelet as a gift can be a great proof of friendship
And it's as simple as that:
What does one need for one Macramé-Bracelet ? The Bracelet is knotted with satin cord in the Macramé-technique. Furthermore you need Letter beads, scissors, glue and something Adhesive tape.
How do I cut the required Ribbon for the Bracelet ? To determine the length of the bracelet, take a satin cord and put it around your arm. The satin cord should protrude quite a bit at both ends to have a good length later. Then lay the Ribbon double so that one end is in front of you as a loop and cut it off at the other end. The satin cord is now between 120 - 130 cm long.
Now place the double-layered Ribbon in front of you on the table and glue it to the table top approx. 6 - 10 cm below the loop with Adhesive tape .
Cut another Ribbon . This should be a little longer than the first one, approx. 140 - 150 cm. With this Ribbon you can knot. How do I knot in the Macramé-technique?
You can start with the first node. To do this, take the long Ribbon and place it horizontally under the shorter Ribbon, which is vertically in front of you and sticks to the table top now is tied with the weaver knot.
For this, the long Ribbon is placed from left to right over the shorter Ribbon . The Ribbon on the right side is laid straight down over the other. Now it is put under the shorter Ribbon and through the loop on the left side. Now tighten it carefully and that's it! After about 15 knots you can knot a bead of letters. If the Bracelet has the desired length, cut the satin cord very close to the last knot and secure it with a blob of all-purpose or superglue.
Tip If the ends of the ribbons are braised with a lighter, the beads can be threaded better and the threads will not come off. So you can also connect the two ends.
