Preparation
Batik paint is a dye. To keep you and your home "undyed", first protect your workspace with a waterproof pad and use protective gloves when batik.
Before dyeing, give the fabric a quick wash through. This will ensure that the fibers of the fabric are free of chemicals, setting agents, detergent & fabric softener residue, and grease. This will make your fabric more receptive to the dye.
The memo board is a triptych, which means it consists of three pieces. Therefore, divide the fabric into three pieces of equal size, so that each of them can be stretched on a 40 x 80 cm stretcher and fixed at the back.
