Rico Design was founded in 1974 by Franz Jacoby. Since then, the products have been expanded to include many innovative and creative items. Today, Rico Design is one of the leading wholesalers in the hobby & craft and needlework sector in Europe with approx. 150 employees at the location in Brakel, Westphalia.
Rico Design has its own distribution in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Great Britain. Rico Design is part of the family-run tap holding GmbH & Co. KG, which operates throughout Europe. This group also owns the brands idee. Creativmarkt and Wolle Rödel.
Rico Design maintains its own design studio, where extraordinary collections and many ideas for creative hobbies are developed with a love of detail. The sub-brands of Rico Design such as Paper Poetry, YEY!, Ricorumi, Creative Bubble, Made by Me, Made by Me Jewellery, Fabrics and ART delight hobbyists with their design and a wide variety of products.
