Making heart pins: The perfect DIY-idea for romantic occasions
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the first weddings of spring are just around the corner. But this heart pin also offers a magical way to express love as a personal touch for anniversaries or birthdays. Individually decorated, it is suitable for any occasion and embellishes bouquets, vases or plant pots. Follow my simple instructions and create a decorative highlight to surprise your loved ones.
Make a heart pin: How to do it step by step
Step 1: Punch out the hearts
Depending on how many plugs you want to make and how many hearts each one should contain, punch out a number of hearts on red photo card or another suitable Paper . It is best to use a craft punch, to achieve perfect shapes.
Step 2: Glue on the hearts
Now it's the turn of the punched-out hearts to be glued onto the wooden stick. Always take two hearts of the same size and secure the wooden stick between them with handicraft glue. If you want to use a variety of colors and different size groups, you can also glue smaller hearts of different colors inside the larger ones.
For a fascinating 3D effect, take four hearts at a time, fold them in half and glue them together and to the piece of wood.
Step 3: Decorate
Almost done! Now it's time for your creative touch. I opted for red satin ribbon and gold wax beads as additional decoration. The beads are easy to glue in the desired place.
You'll have created beautiful heart studs in no time!
