Use watercolour paper for your personal greeting cards. Start by cutting the paper to the desired greeting card size using the VBS contour cutter. This paper is not only known for its ideal texture for painting, but also provides an excellent base for embroidery.
Print out our free template and transfer it to the watercolour paper using graphite paper or design your own motif.
Finish the paper first with VBS silicone stamps and a waterproof StazOn ink pads. The stamping ink dries quickly and does not run when coloured. Then pick up your favourite colours and breathe colourful life into your motifs. Allow the colour to dry thoroughly before you start embroidering.
Now comes the centrepiece of your card - the embroidery! Take embroidery twist (also known as embroidery yarn) and a needle. Embroider the contours of the motifs. For additional accents, you can work with sparkling rocaille beads that you thread onto the yarn.
Attach 3-D glue pads to the back of the watercolour paper. These create a raised effect and give your card that little bit extra. Stick the watercolour paper onto a double card - and marvel at your unique result!
