Step 1: Prepare the folding paper
Quarter the folding paper
First, you need to cut the folding paper into four equal parts. You will need a total of 16 paper strips per star. This means that you will need four folded sheets per star.
Cut off the ends of the strips
Cut the ends of the paper strips at a 45-degree angle so that the strip looks like a trapezoid.
Step 2: Prepare the paper strips
Lay the paper strips crosswise
Lay a strip of paper across in front of you. The short sides of the strip are facing to the side, the longest side is facing east.
Mark the adhesive edge
Draw an adhesive edge of approx. 1.5 cm at the right-hand end of the strip and fold it inwards. Cut off the protruding corner of the paper.

Fold the bottom long side of the strip to the top right towards the glued edge and glue it in place. This creates a small "bag".
Shape the bag
Bring the bag into a pointed shape by carefully pressing it together.
Step 4: Assemble the star
Glue the sachets together to form a star
You will need eight of these sachets to make a paper star. Glue them together at the bottom so that they form a star.
Glue two halves together
Repeat the process a second time so that you have another star. Then glue them together offset to create a complete paper star.
Step 5: Hanging the loop
Punch a hole and loop
Punch a small hole in one of the laces of the star and tie a piece of pearl yarn to it. Now you can loop your DIY Christmas star and enjoy your work of art!
