Look who's looking! Become a frog! Creative craft instructions for a funny frog hat

Dressing up is the greatest thing for children! Whether at carnival or any other day of the year - with these simple instructions, children can slip into the role of a cheerful frog in no time at all. The creative frog hat made from a polystyrene ball is a great craft project that children can make themselves with a little help. Let's get started right away!

Step 1: Prepare the polystyrene ball

Start with a large polystyrene ball - the right size of 20 cm in diameter ensures that the hat sits perfectly on a child's head. Prime one of these hemispheres with green paint. Use Hobby Color in light green for this, as it is flexible and dries quickly.

Step 2: Design the frog's eyes

Now it's time for the eyes: Use two smaller polystyrene balls (e.g. with a diameter of 4 cm). Paint half of them green. Now you can stick toothpicks or craft sticks into the balls to attach them to the frog's head later. Cut the toothpicks or craft sticks to size and place the eyes on the hemisphere. Hot glue will hold everything securely in place. Create the charming frog eyes by painting large black pupils with a white dot of light and applying a perfect circular "eyelid line".

Step 3: Give the frog its voice

A frog without a quack is like a cake without cherry - so of course your frog hat will have a big, wide frog mouth! Make sure the mouth smiles nicely and extend the facial features if necessary.

Step 4: The finishing touches

Voilà! Your frog hat is finished. If you want to add an extra detail to your creation, attach a ribbon to the edges of the hemisphere. This will keep the hat securely on your head even if you make wild jumps.
