Garden torches made from glass

Sitting outside when the weather is nice is always a highlight, and the garden candles are easy to make from glass jars with screw-on lids and can simply be plugged onto the wooden stick. A great decorative idea for the garden or a lovely small present for a barbecue evening.

Once the candle has burnt down, you can refill the jars with wax for candles or place a tea light inside. You can then use them again. To prevent the candles from getting wet in a shower, they can be screwed shut until the next time.

It's as simple as that:

First print out our template. Cut it out and glue it to the glass using adhesive tape . Trace the lines with a black touch-up pen.

Now melt approx. 12 tablespoons of organic wax pastilles at a low temperature. You can add the wax coloring pastilles according to your desired color intensity. In our example, we have added 3 color pastilles to the wax. Place the wick in the middle of the jar. To prevent it from slipping, you can place two wooden spatulas on the edge of the jar to help hold it in place. Pour the wax into the jar. When it is completely dry, trim the wick with scissors.

Spray the lids and the 3 candle holders with white colour spray . Once dry, apply assembly adhesive to the base of the candle spout and stick it in the middle under the candle jar. leave to dry for 24 hours.

Insert one end of the stick into the candle spout. Your garden torch is ready!

Tip: When you're not using your garden torch, screw the lid on so that no rain gets into the candle.
