Gnomes are always cute and great for decorating at Christmas time. These decoration pendants in the shape of gnomes are very easy to make with terracotta pots and pompoms. You can choose the colours yourself, so the gnomes will match your decorating colours.
How to make the cute gnomes:
First, paint the terracotta pots with the VBS craft paints in the colours of your choice. We chose natural colours - the VBS craft paint set "Natural Harmony" is perfect for this.
The VBS pompom maker set consists of 4 pairs of stencils. Take the second largest pompom templates (7 cm) for the indicated clay pot size. 3 pompoms with a diameter of 7 cm can be created from one ball of "Lisa" wool.
Each pair of templates consists of two pieces that are placed on top of each other. Starting from the centre of the template, first wrap wool around one half of the template, then the other. Then both halves are closed to form a ring. Now cut the wound wool along the outer edge of the ring. To fix the individual threads securely, pull a ribbon from the ribbon set between the stencils through the two pompom halves, tie it tightly and knot it. Now the pompom maker can be opened. The finished pompom is removed and can be cut into shape with scissors.
Now pull the satin ribbon through the hole in the pot first. Put some hot glue inside the pot to fix the pompom. Now press the pompom inside. Finally, put some hot glue on the wooden ball and stick it on as a nose.
