Ideas for the first day of school - school cone, folder & album
Instructions No. 2222When the big day of school is approaching, parents and children start thinking about what the school cone should look like. Here we show you a great example of a cheerful school cone with pennants and a matching folder and photo album in which the same pictures, thoughts and mementos from the big day can be stuck.
This is how you craft the school enrolment ideas:
For the board:
Cut two rectangles from the "Wooden Vintage" motif cardboard. One piece is the back of the board, the other is used to cut the 2 cm wide frame. For the school bag, the two rectangles should be 25 x 15 cm each.
For the album and the folder, the rectangles are 17 x 15 cm each.
Cut a rectangle of 23 x 13 cm from the magnetic foil for the school cone and 15 x 13 cm for the album and the folder.
Now join the back piece, magnetic foil and finally the frame together to form a board using double-sided adhesive tape.
Paint the magnetic letters for the album and the school bag with your chosen craft colours and add outlines and light dots with the POSCA markers.
Cut strips 3.7 cm wide from the motif card, in our example "Happiness" and "Points Pastel".
Push this strip into the centre guide of the motif punch and punch.
Measure 5 cm from the resulting points and cut them straight at this height.
Repeat this process until you have enough pennants. In our example, there are 13 pennants for the school cone, 7 for the album and 12 for the folder.
Punch two holes in the corners with the hole punch and thread the bamboo cord through them.
Arrange the pennant chain and the board on the school cone, album or folder and fix them with double-sided adhesive tape.
Additional for the school cone:
Attach pompoms to the top edge with hot glue.
Cut some strips of floral silk in the desired colours (approx. 18 cm across the full width of the paper) and fix them irregularly from the inside into the opening of the school cone using double-sided adhesive tape.
Then cover the entire opening from the inside with white crepe paper.
Close the school cone with a bow after filling.
The previously prepared magnetic letters stick to the board.
