Instructions No. 3279
Difficulty: Beginner
Working time: 3 Hours
First, take a stretched canvas and prime it with a handicraft paint of your choice. Make sure to paint the entire frame evenly so that the colors of the dumpling pictures will stand out particularly well later on. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Transfer the templateTo get the desired motif on the stretched canvas , print out our templates specially designed for spring and Easter. Place the carbonless paper on the stretched canvas and place the template over it. Trace the outlines of the motifs with a pencil. This is how you transfer the image to the stretched canvas.
Now you can color in the transferred motifs with craft paints of your choice. Let your imagination run wild and encourage your children to try out different color combinations. The bright colors will make your dumpling pictures particularly lively and spring-like.
Crinkling the crepe paperNow comes the first creative part: cut the crêpepaper into small pieces and crumple it up into little balls. These little balls are the heart of your picture design and create an interesting texture and a great 3D effect.
Coat the areas of the motif that you want to highlight with the crepe paper balls with handicraft glue. Then press the prepared balls onto the glue. Your children can make and glue their favorite colors to their heart's content.
