Paint
Paint the lighthouse and the tealight holders in maritime colours to suit your personal taste. For our idea, we used the colours blue-green, beige and sea green.
To give your lighthouse a distinctive look, use masking tape to cover the areas where you want the stripes to appear. This adhesive tape will help you to keep clean edges. Then apply the desired colour. Once the paint has dried, carefully remove the masking tape - and voilà: perfect stripes just like on real lighthouses!
Decorate
Glue small maritime wooden decorations to driftwood using hot glue. The driftwood provides a great contrast to the coloured elements.
Arrange everything on and next to a zinc bowl in your home. Sprinkle the bottom of the bowl with shell granules. The granules enhance the beach atmosphere and make the entire arrangement appear more lively. Alternatively, decorate everything in a tray instead of a zinc bowl.
