Paint
Paint the lighthouse and the tealight holders in maritime colors according to your personal taste. For our idea, we used the colors blue-green, beige and sea green.
To give your lighthouse a characteristic coat of paint, mask off the areas where you want the stripes to appear with masking tape. This adhesive tape helps you to keep clean edges. Then apply the desired color. Once the paint has dried, carefully remove the masking tape - and voilà: perfect stripes just like on real lighthouses!
Decorate
Use hot glue to stick small maritime wooden decorations to driftwood. The driftwood provides a great contrast to the colored elements.
Arrange everything on and next to a zinc bowl in your home. Sprinkle the bottom of the bowl with shell granules. The granules enhance the beach atmosphere and make the entire arrangement appear more lively. Alternatively, decorate everything in a tray instead of a zinc bowl.
