1.Making garlands
Start by creating your own garland. Take glitter-foam sheets and cut strips from it. Different colors such as gold and silver are ideal. Glue the ends of one strip together to form an eyelet. The next strip is threaded through this eyelet and also glued together at the ends. As foam sheets takes a while to glue firmly, use paper clips to fix the glued areas. However, make sure that the clips themselves do not stick.
For another variation, you can print out the letters HAPPY NEW YEAR (HAPYNEWR) and transfer them to coloured paper or foil. You can use the template or simply draw the letters freehand. Cut them out and stick them to a decorative ribbon to create an eye-catching garland of letters.
2. Glass decor
To add a touch of glamor to your toasting glasses without too much effort, cut out stars from foam sheets . Make a cut from the outside to the middle at one point. Depending on the thickness of the glass stem, you should also cut a small hole in the middle. Then simply wrap only around the glass and you're done.
If you like, you can of course also conjure up coaster from the foam sheets . Simply cut out more stars and place your glasses on top. Golden or silver coloured paper is also suitable. You can find a template for stars in different sizes here. Simply download and cut out.
