Felt flowers - easy to make yourself
Felt flowers are a great project for craft afternoons. These flowers are easy to make and are ideal for crafting with children. The finished flowers bring colour to the children's room or dining table. The instructions are simple enough so that even young children can join in with the crafting, but still leave room for their own creative ideas. Together with the children, you will not only make beautiful decorations, but also spend valuable time together.

Cutting out felt flowers
Print out the flower templates and cut them out. These templates form the basis for your felt flowers.
Place the templates on the felt and trace the outlines with a sublimated pen. The pen will leave marks that will disappear on their own later, which is helpful when crafting.
Cut out the shapes from the felt. Fabric scissors are helpful here as they cut cleanly. Make sure that the shapes are cut out precisely so that the flowers look good at the end.

Glue the flowers together
Glue the cut out felt pieces on top of each other with hot glue. Start with the largest pieces and work your way to the smaller ones. Place a button in the centre of the flower. If you are making the flowers with children, use handicraft glue instead of hot glue.

Attach the wooden stick
Attach a wooden round stick to the underside of the largest flower using hot glue. The stick holds the flower in place and makes it easy to put it in a pot later.

Flower arrangement foam and decoration
Cut the flower arrangement foam to size and press it into the plant pots. The children can put the finished flowers in there. The plant pots can be painted with craft paints beforehand, which is great fun for the children.
