Step 1: Design the floor and walls
Start with the floor by gluing together the desired number and shape of craft blocks. For the walls, mark and cut cardboard to the right size and glue it to the floor. To increase stability, attach additional craft blocks as supports to the ends of the walls.
Step 2: Add colour and cosiness to pieces of furniture
Paint the miniature furniture such as the rocking chair, door and cradle with the VBS craft paints. Use the Crystal Pen to add glittery accents. Then cut out a matching piece of faux fur ribbon and place it on the rocking chair and cradle to create a cosy atmosphere.
Step 3: Create decorations - bunting and building blocks
Cut a strip of glitter paper of any thickness, fold it in half and cut out small triangles. Unfold them, spread glue in them, put the elastic cord in them and glue them together. Repeat the step until you reach your desired length. Once everything is dry, you can stick them to the top of the walls.
For the building blocks, cut out small pieces of different sizes from craft wood, paint them and use them to build colourful towers.
Step 4: Construct toys - train, play arch and ring tower
Give the train a personalised look with the VBS craft paints. Build a play arch by gluing two pieces of craft wood together to form a V. Leave to dry thoroughly and then glue a piece of craft wood across both. Now you can thread as many beads as you like onto a rubber cord and knot them on.
For the ring tower, cut a small piece of cardboard from the upper part of the train packaging. Glue a piece of craft wood to it and put as many beads as you like on it.
Step 5: Complete the room with a rug and lamp
Create a rug by cutting out a rectangular piece of plush lambskin. Cut out a circle with pattern scissors, cut it open to the centre with normal scissors, twist it into a funnel and shape and glue it together. Once everything is dry, you can glue it onto the round wooden stick.
