Moravian stars made of fabric

Cut 4 x 6 cm wide strips per Fröbel star along the long side of the fabric. Iron on the Stretchfix along the edge. Leave to cool and remove the protective paper. Now fold the opposite edge onto the stretch fix and iron over it. You will then have 4 x 3 cm wide strips. Use these strips to fold the Fröbel stars. It is best to iron the folds in. Tweezers are ideal for pulling the strips through.

1. Fold the fabric strips in the middle and cut the lace at an angle.
2. Thread the four strips into each other.
3. Pull the ends to create a square.
4. Fold the top left-hand strip down.
5. Fold the left-hand strip to the right over it.
6. Fold the bottom right-hand strip upwards.
7. Thread the top right-hand strip under the first folded strip.
8. Fold the bottom left strip 90° back to the left.
9. Fold the same strip 90° upwards.
10. Fold the strip to the right towards the center.
11. You can now see a jag at the bottom. Fold this backwards.
12. Thread the strip through the lower left eyelet.
13. Fold the point forwards and rotate your star by 90°.
14. Repeat steps 8-13 for the remaining three strips.
15. Turn the star over. Now fold the back.
16. Repeat steps 8-13 four times.
17. Turn the star over again.
18. Fold the bottom left strip to the right.
19. Fold the bottom right strip upwards under the top right strip.
20. Fold the top right strip under the top left strip to the left.
21. Fold the top left strip down.
22. Fold the top of the two bottom strips 90° to the top left.
23. Straighten the folded strip vertically.
24. Now fold the top right-hand strip upwards. Slide the strip under the neighboring strip until the end appears between the triangles of the right-hand prong.
25. Pull the strip through to form the shape of a bag.
26. Turn the star 90° to the right.
27. Repeat steps 22-26 three times.
28. Turn the star over.
29. Repeat steps 18-21, then repeat steps 22-26 4 times.
30. Cut off the ends of the strips.
