Step 1: Preparing your work surface and moulds

Step 2: Mixing the casting compound
Mix the powder with water until a creamy consistency is achieved. Make sure that no powder settles to the bottom when mixing the casting compound and that no lumps remain in the mixture.

Pour the prepared mixture into the moulds. It is important that you always leave a rim of 0.5 cm to 1 cm free with plastic moulds so that the castings can be removed more easily later. Gently shake or tap the moulds on the table so that the mixture is evenly distributed in the mould and any trapped air bubbles can escape from the mixture.

Step 4: Demoulding the castings
After about an hour, you can demould the castings. To do this, turn the casting mould over and press gently on the back so that the casting can slide out gently downwards. If necessary, you can tap the mould lightly on the table to help.

Step 5: Drying and smoothing the mouldings
Allow the castings to continue to air dry to achieve optimum strength. Rough edges can simply be smoothed with sandpaper. This will give your decorations a flawless finish.

Step 6: Decorating and arranging your castings
Now comes the creative part! Decorate your castings as you wish and arrange them into a pretty Easter decoration.
