This idea is sewn with cotton fabric , which is coated with polyester and therefore already has an insensitive surface.
Preparation
In the first step, cut two identically sized fabric squares (in our example 70 x 70 cm).
You will need 8 pieces of approx. 10 cm each from the cord . To prevent the ends of the cord from fraying too much, tape them with washi tape or adhesive tape. Thread a piece of cord through each of the 4 toggle buttons.
Punch 8 ovals out of Texipap using the craft punch .
Make markings for the loops on one of the two squares: Approx. 7 cm from one corner and approx. 2 cm from the edge. Place a loop exactly on the markings, place a Texipap oval on top and sew over it with a straight stitch so that a loop is then attached to each corner of the square with a button.
Sewing
Place both fabric squares with wrong sides together so that the "pretty" sides are on the outside and bind them with the bias tape.
The plant base is now finished. Thread the buttons through the loops before use. This ensures that the potting soil stays on the base and does not trickle down so quickly.
