"Garter stitch" rows knitting
What does "garter stitch" mean? Here you knit only knit stitches in every row - in both back and forth rows. This technique creates an even, wavy pattern that looks identical on both sides. Keep knitting until your scarf is about 55 cm long. To make sure that the length is right for you, place the knitted piece around your neck in between.
Fasten off the stitches
To cast off the stitches, first knit the first two stitches in garter stitch as usual. Then insert the left needle into the first knitted stitch and pull it over the second stitch. Repeat this process: knit one stitch, pull the first stitch over the second stitch until there is only one stitch left.
Sew the threads
Cut the wool thread to a length of about 20 cm, thread it through the darning needle and sew the end piece. Do the same with the starting thread to give your scarf a neat finish.
