Instructions No. 3663
Difficulty: Beginner
Working time: 1 hour
Step 1: Preparing the casting compound
You will need 90 grams of casting powder for the "Angel" silicone full mold. Use a kitchen scale to measure precise quantities and pour the powder into a flexible rubber-mixing cup. Add 30 ml of cold water. Now stir the mixture carefully until it has reached a lump-free and creamy consistency. This smooth casting compound forms the basis for your angel figurine.
step 2: Pour the casting compound into the mold
Carefully pour the finished mixture into the mold silicone mould. An important tip: To ensure that no unsightly air bubbles remain in your angel, tap gently against the mold. Tapping gently allows trapped air to escape, giving your figure a particularly fine and smooth texture.
Step 3: Hardening
Once the casting compound is in the mold, patience is required. Leave the mixture to harden for approx. 2 hours. During this time, your figure will develop its final shape. To remove the angel from the mold, gently pull the silicone apart at the opening and carefully grip the angel. Now slowly pull it out of the mold.
Step 4: Finishing and Time to dry:
Once the angel has been removed from the mold, sand the underside with a fine sandpaper to remove any unevenness. This will give your angel a nice, smooth base. Your figure then needs around eight hours to dry completely. This time is essential to ensure the full strength of the material.
We wish you lots of fun with your crafting.
