Crafting with waterproof origami folding sheets
Take an outdoor origami folding sheet and determine the centre of the sheet by drawing a line from one corner to the opposite corner with a sublimate pencil. Do the same with the other two corners. The resulting cross shows you the centre.
The sublimate pencil is an ideal pencil for auxiliary lines. This is because it is filled with an ink that is only visible for a short time but disappears again later.
Now punch once in the centre of the folded sheet using the smallest attachment of your hole punch. Do the same in each corner of the folded sheet. Always in the left-hand corner directly next to the fold line.
Cut each of the 4 fold lines about 8 cm towards the centre of the folded sheet. Be careful not to damage the paper!
Now you can wipe the colour of the sublimat pen off the folded sheet with a cloth without leaving any residue.
Punch out a small and a large flower from the paper for each wind rose you have made and punch a hole in the centre.
Making a compass rose
Cut a piece of wire about 25 cm long and double it in the centre. Twist the closed end slightly and thread a wooden bead onto it.
Thread first the small and then the large flower onto the wire. Then gradually pull the corners of the leaflet onto the wire and pass through the hole in the centre of the paper.
Place another wooden bead on the wire. Wrap the rest of the wire around a round bar to finish off your wind rose.
