This is how the elves are made:
First paint the
terracotta pots in
antique white. Important: It is best to apply 3 coats of paint to achieve a perfect, opaque result. Please make sure that the individual layers of paint are always completely dry before applying another one.
Once dry, place the
terracotta pots on the table with the opening facing downwards. If desired, add motifs to the bottom of the pot with a
marker. You are welcome to draw everything delicately in advance with a pencil.
Now take the
plush fabric and comb the fluffy side towards the ends with a comb. This ensures that the hair falls down. Turn the plush fabric over so that the fluffy side is facing down. then transfer the
motif template for the beard. Make sure that the hair is pointing towards the tip, i.e. downwards. Cut out the beard and comb it again to remove excess hair.
Fix each beard to a
terracotta pot with
hot glue. For the noses, glue a
wooden hemisphere onto each beard.
Next, make the hat. Place the
craft felt upright on the table. Fold the bottom left corner of the upright craft felt to the right along the long edge to form the tip of the gnome hat. The tip should now be at the bottom right-hand side of the felt. Simply cut away the rectangle at the top. You now have a triangle in front of you. Apply a thin strip of
hot glue to the open edge and roll the felt into a bag.
Now you can make the final touches: place the
hats on the
terracotta pots and cut them to size if necessary. Fix the cap to the sides with a little
hot glue. Then pull the tip of the cap through the eyelet of the clip. Fold the tip over and glue it on with a drop of hot glue. Finally, shape the hat - and your Scandi elf is ready!
