The trendy chalky effect is now also available for heat-resistant and smooth materials. The KREUL Glass & Porcelain "Chalky Set" includes a selection of the most popular colors, which can be used to decorate glass and porcelain with a velvety, matte finish.

The paint offers excellent coverage and dries to a matte finish with a chalk-like appearance . KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Chalky” paint combines perfectly with the other colors in the KREUL Glass & Porcelain series, allowing you to create unique designs and add various accents . For a variety of watercolor effects and to thin the paint, use the KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Paint Thinner,” which does not affect the paint’s adhesion after firing.

A pencil is recommended for freehand drawings. Keep in mind that the lines should not be painted over so that they can be easily removed after firing. Graphite paper works very well for transferring designs. The glass and porcelain paint is applied with a hair brush of any thickness.

KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Chalky” takes about 4 hours to dry completely. For a permanent finish, the design must be fired at approximately 160 °C. To do this, place the object in a cold oven. The 90-minute firing time begins only after the oven has reached the required temperature. To complete the firing process correctly, the object must cool down inside the oven. Afterward, the paint is waterproof, dishwasher-safe, and saliva-resistant.

Important! Since KREUL Glass & Porcelain paint is not food-safe, surfaces that come into contact with food should not be painted. The rims or interior surfaces of glasses and cups, serving and eating areas, as well as the cut edges of plates should therefore be left unpainted.

As long as the paint has not been fired , the design can be easily wiped off with water . This allows you to create temporary designs with a wide variety of effects on many plastics, mirrors, and acrylic glass.

Use the KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Chalky Set” to customize glasses, vases, or plates. A lantern you design yourself will be a real eye-catcher for the recipient.

Tips for use

Applicable to: Heat-resistant objects made of e.g. porcelain, glass, ceramics, Terracotta and metal.
Preparations: The surface must be clean, free of grease and smooth. Cleaning by hand! Do not put it in the dishwasher, so that no beading effect is applied.
Processing: The paint is applied with a soft Hair brush one. Use the KREUL Glass & Porcelain paint thinner to dilute the paint so that the adhesive power is maintained after baking.
Drying time: Objects should be dried for approx. 4 hours (lying down).
Finishing work: For baking, place the object in a cold oven. Set the oven to 160 °C. Only when this temperature is reached, bake for another 90 minutes. Allow the item to cool in the oven. The item can then be cleaned and used again.
This must be taken into account: Only apply to surfaces that do not come into contact with food. Use and eating areas, drinking edges, the inside of cups or glasses and cut surfaces on plates should not be painted.
