Beautiful DIY flowers made from silk paper: add colour and style to your home
Preparation of the silk paper
Roll up the silk paper. Cut a 9 cm long piece from this roll. Lay the cut piece of silk paper flat in front of you. Measure approx. 11 cm from the long side and fold the sheet over at this point. After another 11 cm, fold it over again and repeat this until you have folded the entire piece of side paper. If there is a little paper left over, you can also fold it or cut it off. this step forms the base of your flower.
Prepare the wire and string the beads
Take a piece of plug wire and bend one end slightly with pliers. This serves as a holder for the beads. Thread about 15 beads onto the wire. To ensure that the beads do not slip, glue the end of the wire with a drop of hot glue.
Design the flower
Place the prepared wire stem in the centre of the wide rolled-up silk paper. Gently crumple the paper around the wire and secure it with pearl thread. Tie it tightly so that the silk paper takes on the shape of a flower. If you like, you can cut the blossom petals slightly at the edges to give them a more natural look.
Personalised vase
Take a vase of your choice and decorate it however you like. Whether with bows, ribbons or other decorative elements - you can let your imagination run wild here. Finally, place your home-made flowers in the vase and enjoy the admiration of your visitors.
