Casting resin bowl

You can cast this beautiful casting resin bowl in two versions: plain or marbled! There are a few things to consider when working with casting resin, but with these instructions you can mould your bowl in about 20 minutes. Protect your workplace with handicraft mat.
Always put on disposable gloves before working with casting resin. Use an old plastic container for mixing, which you can throw away afterwards (e.g. old yoghurt pot etc.).
Measure out 75 ml of resin and 75 ml of hardener per bowl using the small cups in the packaging. Using the spatula provided, remove the mixture thoroughly each time into your mixing cup. At the end, you must have 150 ml of casting resin for the shell mold. Mix the mixture thoroughly until it is cloudy.
Then add a small dab of tinting color. Stir again thoroughly.
Then pour the mixture into the mold. Then blow-dry it with the embossing dryer until all the bubbles have been removed and the mixture looks crystal clear.
Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.

orange For the marbled version, proceed as described above, but add a little color in further and white to the mixture in the casting mold. Go through the colors with a bamboo skewer to create a pattern. When you are happy, blow-dry over it again and leave it to dry.
Check after 24 hours to see if the bowl is completely dry. If this is the case, remove it from the mold. If necessary, you can leave it further to air dry.
Cut strips 27 cm long and 2.5 cm wide from the kraft paper for the banderole. Fold them to fit the bowl and write the message on them. Stick the ends of the banderole together on the back using double-sided adhesive tape .
