Instructions for creating a sparkling starchain of light

Preparing the material

First you need a sheet of paper folding paper. Quarter this sheet by carefully cutting it into four equal parts. Fold each of these pieces into a star.

Folding the stars

Follow the instructions for folding a 3D star. This creates a three-dimensional star from a flat piece of paper.

Fold crosswise

Fold the sheet crosswise once each time so that a folded seam is created diagonally on the Paper .

Cut in half and fold

You will need more folds for the crafting: Fold the sheet once in the middle.

Now cut the center folds in half on all 4 sides.

Fold star tips

Place the Paper in front of you so that the diagonal fold is facing downwards. Fold the paper from the cut center to the diagonal fold. You will get a pointed star with 4 points.
If you now glue the two edges of a star tip together with double-sided adhesive tape , the star tip will emerge plastically at the folded seam with a 3D look.

Fold a star with 4 points from the second folded sheet in the same way.

After you have folded several 3D stars, take two of them and connect them with a 2D star. Unlike a 3D star, a 2D star has no depth and remains flat. You need a 2D star with 8 points. Work in the following steps:
1. First glue a 3D star to a flat star using handicraft glue .
2. Glue the flat star to a small lamp of the chain of light
3. Attach another 3D star to the back of the flat star so that the light is exactly in the middle of the stars

Repeat this with the other stars until the entire chain of light is covered with stars.
