Would you like to create a unique work of art to adorn your walls? In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create a stunning textured picture with macramé cord on a stretched canvas . With a little patience and creativity, you can conjure up an individual work of art in no time at all.

Print out and transfer the templates
You can easily recreate the artwork shown by printing out the templates and cutting them out roughly. Place the cut-out templates on the stretched canvas and carefully trace the contours with a pencil. Make sure to draw only delicate lines to make it easier to cover over later.

Alternatively, you can also create your own wave looks. Draw these delicately too.

structure paste apply
Take a spatula and apply a thin layer of structure paste to the traced motifs. It is sufficient to cover only the stretcher frame surface with filler to such an extent that the stretcher frame structure no longer shows through. For an even and visually appealing texture, dab over the paste with a dabbing brush. The structure paste needs approx. 24 hours to dry through; however, you can proceed to the next step after approx. one hour .

Apply the macramé cord
Now it's time to use the macramé cord. While the structure paste is still slightly damp, you can place the cord on the stretched canvas . First apply some glue to the structure paste, before placing the cord over it. Press the macramé cord lightly so that it adheres well. There are no limits to your creativity here - design the pattern according to your taste.

Leave to dry and finish
Once you have attached the macramé cord, leave the entire work of art to dry thoroughly. Once all the materials are completely dry, your individual textured picture is finished and ready to be admired!
