You can easily transform an old wooden crate into a beautiful planter box with the permanent spray, which protects the environment and you have fresh herbs every day.

If you fancy growing your own plants, you don't need your own garden - you can also grow your own flowering plants, vegetables or herbs on your balcony or roof terrace: the concept is called "urban gardening". All you need is a planter box, edding acrylic paint spray and permanent marker as well as our instructions, in which we explain every step. If you use an old discarded crate, you are also doing something good for the environment. The spray paint has a very high covering power, a short Time to dry: and is perfect for decorating all kinds of objects, whether they are used outdoors or indoors.

1. Here you can see everything you need. For spraying, you need edding 5200 permanent spray in a spray color of your choice, in our example white, neon green, light grey and mild mint. You will also need the permanent marker edding 400 and 3000 in black.

2. First clean the wooden crate and remove any unevenness with the sandpaper .

3. Cover the work surface well with foil or Paper before spraying. In our Spray 1x1 we provide important tips for perfect spraying. We recommend spraying crosswise at a distance of approx. 25 cm, as this is the best way to control the spray jet. First spray on the white paint. Then allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

4. Once dry, mask off the part of the crate that is to remain white with masking film. Now it's the turn of the spray in mild mint . Leave to dry.

5. A narrow strip of neon green separates the mint-colored area from the white area and creates a nice contrast. To do this, mask off the mint-colored area except for a narrow strip, which you then spray in neon green. Allow everything to dry thoroughly.

6. Finally, you can label the planter box with the permanent marker , just as you like. By masking off individual colored areas, you can create new designs again and again. This picture shows the design with triangles in different colors (e.g. in mild mint and light grey).

7. What grows here? So that you don't get confused later about which herb is which, you can make plant labels from pieces of wood and write on them with the edding 400 permanent marker . The fine tip ensures good legibility.
